Security & privacy

Built to hold no patient data.

ReadyMaxer is a hallway signal, not a medical record. The safest way to protect patient information is to never collect it, so the product is designed from the ground up to carry none.

What does a signal contain?

A signal carries only a staff name, room name, signal type, and timestamp. Notes are optional, capped at 200 characters, and labeled "No patient names or info. This is not a medical record." That is the entire data model; there is no field that could hold a patient identifier.

Do we need a BAA or a HIPAA review?

No. Because signals carry no protected health information (PHI), there is nothing to cover under a Business Associate Agreement. Used as directed, ReadyMaxer stores no PHI, so there is no BAA to sign and no HIPAA review to schedule.

Where does your data live?

ReadyMaxer is a hosted cloud service. Your office connects over the internet so signals reach phones and watches anywhere, with nothing to run or maintain on your end. Everything travels over encrypted HTTPS.

How are accounts protected?

Your data, your control

Close your account and we delete it within 60 days, apart from the minimal billing records we're required to keep. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy and Terms.

Not a medical device

ReadyMaxer is workflow software: a hallway signal, not a monitoring, alarm, or emergency system. Delivery is best-effort and must not be relied on for patient-safety-critical communication.
